MGA Annual Meeting

It was a special pleasure for us to present ATeM's activities at the annual meeting of the Mobility / Medicine goes Additive (MGA) network on October 12 and 13 in Berlin.

3D printing and the megatrends "gender shift", "individualization", "connectivity" and health".

With our presentation we addressed the megatrends "Gender Shift", "Individualization", "Connectivity" and "Health" and how Additive Manufacturing brings them together. In particular, the Gender Shift and Individualization trends show us that medical treatments can never be mass-produced, so 3D printing gives us the opportunity to establish novel, valuable health technologies.

During the Women in AM Summit, we listened to Nadine Moise's presentation on "Three strategies to close the loop between companies and improve the circular economy" with high interest, as the circular economy is one of the most important and challenging issues in manufacturing. Therefore, in addition to the material-saving and additive-free approach of 3D printing, our research also focuses on biodegradable materials, modular therapy approaches, and the recyclability of additively manufactured products.
